Abstract
The addition of allylic organometallics to carbonyl compounds is an important synthetic method for the construction of carbon–carbon bonds.1 Various metals such as In, Sm, Mg, Zn, Sn, and so on have been used for this purpose.2 However, some allylic organometallic reagents have to be prepared under relatively harsh conditions, which limits their application in organic synthesis to some extent.3 Usually, homoallylic alcohols are obtained utilising this method, but little ...
