Abstract
I characterized by its elemental 30.36; H, 3.72; Br, 65.75) snectra. The infrared shows a band at 1750 cm.-l characteristic for carbon-carbon double bond stretch in methylenecyclopropane compounds' and a band at 905 cm.-l due to vinylic carbonhydrogen out-of-plane vibrations.* The nmr spectrum consists of a triplet at T 4.48 (J= 1.8 cPs, CH2=), 9 a doublet at T 6.65 (J= 5.0 cPs, methylene protons), and a multiplet 110 CPS downfield ( ...
