Abstract

The reaction of trivalent phosphorus chlorides with or-acetylenic alcohols in the presence of an organic base produced allenic, pentavalent phosphine oxides.-4 number of phosphinates and phosphonates containing both the allenic and acetylenic structures are also described for the first time.
