Abstract
Abstract: Irradiation of RMn (CO) s (R= q'-CsCIs, q1-C6HsCH2) in alkane glasses at 95 K leads to CO loss as the only detectable photoprocess: the ring-slipped (q3-CSCIS) Mn (CO), and (qs-CsC1S) Mn (C0) 3 or (q3-C6HsCH,) Mn (CO), are formed, respectively. The identities of the q3 intermediates from (q'-C5CIS) Mn (CO) S and (q'-C6HSCH2) Mn (CO) s have been established by spectroscopic means and by chemical-trapping experiments. ...
