Abstract

The reaction between lithium phenyl and 2, 2'-bis-(bromomethy1)-diphenylmethane and- dibenzyl leads to about equal parts of polymeric materials and 1, 2, 4, 5, 8, 9, 11, 12- tetrabenzocyclotetradeca-1, 4, 8, 1l-tetraene and 1, 2, 5, 6, 9, 10, 13, 14- tetrabenzocyclohexadeca-1, 5, 9, 13-tetraene, respectivelf.
