Abstract

Abstract 1-(5-Deoxy-β-d-arabino-hexofuranosyl) cytosine (4′-homoara-C)(11), a higher homolog of the antileukemic agent ara-C (1-β-d-arabinofuranosylcytosine), was prepared by two independent routes.
