Abstract

Abstract Phosphatidylserine (PS) lipids play a number of roles in cell biology, one of which is to mark apoptotic cells for clearance by macrophages. PS recognition triggers macrophage recognition and clearance, which occurs concomitantly with active suppression of an inflammatory response.
