Abstract
The chemistry of sulfenyl halides and their reactions with unsaturates has been a vigorously investigated field (1). Relatively ignored, however, is the chemistry of simple bis-disulfenyl chlorides. The simplest homologs, methanedisulfenyl chloride (2) and its dichloromethane (3) analog, have only recently been reported.
