Abstract
The scope of the photosensitized (electron transfer) carbon-carbon bond cleavage involving radical cations has been defined for 2-phenylethyl ethers and acetals. The thresholds for reactivity of the monophenylethyl and gem-diphenylethyl derivatives are compared.
