Abstract

Cumene hydroperoxide is alkylated by diazoethane, diazopropane, diazobutane and dimethyl diazomethane but not by vinyl diazomethane yielding the corresponding dialkylperoxides. 1-Hydroxy-1′-hydroperoxydicyclohexylperoxide and 1, 1′- dihydroperoxydicyclohexylperoxide react with diazomethane to yield 1- methylperoxycyclohexylhydroperoxide and 1-hydroperoxy-1′- ...
