Abstract

2, 4-Dinitrobenzenesulfonylhydrazine. To a well-stirred solution of 95% hydrazine (6.8 g, 200 mmol) in tetrahydrofuran (400 ml) cooled in a Dry Ice-acetone bath was added 2, 4- dinitrobenzeriesulfonyl chloride (26.6 g, 100 mmol) dissolved in tetrahydrofuran (50 ml).
