Abstract

A series of cinnamide derivatives was designed as potential antimycobacterial agents using molecular hybridization approach. The diamine moiety, a key feature of ethambutol and its other analogs, and certain structural features of cerulenin and cinnamic acid were hybridized to obtain cinnamide derivatives.
