Abstract
Method. Partition coefficients, between n-octanol and water, of a series of substituted 2H-1, 2, 4-benzothiadiazine 1, I-dioxides were measured (Table I) from which n values for a variety of substituents at different positions in the nucleus were calculated (Table 111) using the relationship nX= log Px-logpH.
