Abstract

The use of the anionic tetradentate terpyridine-carboxylate ligand in combination with two β- diketonates ligands leads to a ternary Eu (III) complex with high stability with respect to ligand dissociation in solution, extended absorption window toward the visible region (390 nm), and high luminescence quantum yield in the solid state (Φ= 66%).
