Abstract
Oximes are highly crystalline compounds extensively used for the purification and characterisation of carbonyl compounds. These compounds can also be used for the preparation of amides via the Beckman rearrangement.1 Since oximes can be prepared from non-carbonyl compounds,2 the regeneration of carbonyl compounds from oximes provides an alternative method for preparation of aldehydes and ketones.
