Abstract
Summary: Using methyl (0-carboran-1-ylmethy1) phos-phonate 6 as a novel and versatile borophosphonylating agent, 5'-0-(monomethoxytrityl) thymidine 3'-0-[methyl (o-carboran-l- ylmethyl) phosphonatel (8) and thymidine-(3', 5') thymidine (0-carboran-1-ylmethy1) phosphonate (12) were synthesized.
