Abstract
TBPH,(2) was accomplished with trifluoroacetic acid in chloroform. 20 TBPHz (2) was converted to TBPGeCl,(3) by a modification of the reportedz1 procedure by reacting 2 with GeC14 in refluxing quinoline. TBPGe (OH)*(4) was obtained from 3 by hydrolysis in quinoline containing 1 N KOH (2: l). Thermal dehydration of 4 at 350 OC torr) gave the polymer 5 in an overall yield of 47% based on TBPZn.
