Abstract

Several CAAX-peptidomimetics were linked to homofarnesoic acid via a β-alanyl spacer with the intention to obtain a novel type of bisubstrate analogue farnesyltransferase inhibitors. However, the compounds were found to be only weakly active in the farnesyltransferase inhibition assay.
