Abstract
Gold nanoparticles supported on nanocrystalline ceria (Au/CeO2) is a general, air-and moisture-stable, commercial catalyst for the atmospheric pressure, solventless oxidation of aromatic, primary and secondary alcohols to the corresponding benzaldehyde or ketone compound.
