Abstract
Conclusions The structure of 3b, the first 3-exo-methylene isomer of a cephalosporin to have its structure determined by X-ray crystallography, has been shown to be quite ordinary in terms of the length and orientation of the carbon-carbon double bond. This isomer was determined to lie 4.55 kcal/mol above its cephalosporin isomer, lb. Of the three common semiempirical molecular orbital methods, AM1 was found to provide the best agreement ...
