Abstract

(4-Aminophenyl)(4'-nitrophenyl) phenylphosphine oxide (6) was prepared by nucleophilic aromatic substitution of bis (4-fluoropheny1) phenylphosphine oxide to give the corresponding dinitro compound, followed by selective mono-reduction.
