Abstract

Abstract Carcinogenic amines are formed in vivo during the metabolism of Sudan azo dyes. The identification and assay of these polluting agents requires the availability of deuterated analogues. Accordingly, two series of derivatives labeled on the phenylazo and naphthol moieties were synthesized.
