Abstract

Vvi distinguished by nmr from those arising from cis-piperylene. Neither cis-nor trans- piperylene was isomerized in the course of the photolysis and there seem to be no common products between the two reactions. Moreover, that product which arises by attack on the more highly substituted doutle bond predominates in both cases.
