Abstract
In the course of extending our work on arylpyridine fluorescent chemosensors, 1 we required ready access to 2,4,6-trisubstituted pyridines. While such compounds can be prepared by any of a number of condensation methods, 2,3 we were drawn to the comparative simplicity and convergence of directly installing the substituents via transition metal catalyzed coupling to a pyridine precursor.
