Abstract
Abstract In stoichiometry-dependent reactions, dimethylsulfoxide (DMSO) reacts with acyl fluorides, R f C (O) F (R f= F, CF 3), to yield CH 3 SCH 2 F and R f C (O) OCH 2 F, while CH 3 SCH 2 Cl and FC (O) OCH 2 Cl are obtained with COClF. Oxalyl difluoride, C 2 O 2 F 2, reacts with DMSO to give CH 3 SCH 2 F and FCH 2 OCH 2 F.
