Abstract

A heterosupermolecule has been assembled by covalently linking a TiO2 nanocrystal, a ruthenium complex, and a viologen. The associated heterosupramolecular function, long- lived light-induced charge separation, has been demonstrated. Potentiostatic modulation of this function has also been demonstrated. The reported findings and associated insights may find practical applications in the area of optical information storage.
