Abstract

The syntheses of platinum complexes with the fluoroalkyl acceptor phosphine (C2F5) 2P (Me)(dfmp), cis-(dfmp) 2Pt (Me) 2, and trans-(dfmp) 2Pt (Me)(X)(X= O2CCF3, OTf, OSO2F) are presented. The thermal, chemical, and protolytic stabilities of these systems are described and contrasted with the chelating fluoroalkylphosphine analogue (C2F5) 2PCH2CH2P (C2F5) 2 (dfepe).
