Abstract

β-Amino R-hydroxy acids are important components in a variety of biologically interesting compounds. 1 For instance, it has recently been found that some inhibitors of angiotensin- converting enzyme (ACE), such as microginin, KR1 1314, and KR1 1230, 2 contain β-amino R-hydroxy acids in their structure.
