Abstract
Abstract As part of an on-going research project, we required an efficient method for the preparation of compounds containing the 1, 2, 3, 4-tetrahydrobenzofuro [2, 3-c] pyridine ring nucleus. The parent compound 1 has not been described in the literature, and there is only one reference to the N-methyl analog 2 [1].
