Abstract
The standard procedures used for the preparation of derivatives of amides require their hydrolysis and the subsequent isolation and characterization of the acid and amine residue^.^!^ Much less laborious and therefore preferable would be a one-step procedure which will yield derivatives directly, without the preceding hydrolytic step.
