Abstract
from diethoxy-I-naphthylphenylsilane and l-naphthyllithium; the reported melting point for this compound is 160-161'. This compound now has been synthesized by treating phenyllithium with tri-1-naphthylchlorosilane, with tri-l-naphthylsilane and with tri-1- naphthylethoxysilane; the pure tri-1-naphthylphenylsilane obtained by these methods has a melting point of 192-193".
