Abstract Cycloaddition of sulfene to N, N-disubstituted 3-amino-2-methyl-1-phenyl-2-propen- 1-ones (I) and 3-amino-1, 2-diphenyl-2-propen-1-ones (II) occurred in good to moderate yield only in the case of aliphatic N-substitution to give 4-dialkylamino-3, 4-dihydro-(5-methyl- 6-phenyl)(5, 6-diphenyl)-1, 2-oxathiin 2, 2-dioxides.
