Abstract
Bromination of Phenyl and Tolyl Ethers. The ethers employed were all prepared by distilling the aluminium salts of the corresponding phenols. While the yield of phenyl and metatolyl ether was good, the yield of the ortho-and paratolyl ether was so small that, in some instances, it was found difficult to obtain a sufficient amount of some of the bromine derivatives to purify sufficiently to yield very satisfactory results on analysis, which ...
