Abstract
Aromatic halides are widely used as synthetic intermediates in organic synthesis. 1 They are also important in medicinal and pharmaceutical research. 2 Organometallic reagents are convenient precursors for the preparation of aryl iodides but their use is somewhat restricted due to the high reactivity and toxic properties of many of the reagents.
