Abstract

Л variety uf 2-substituted-l, 3, 4-oxadiazoIin-5-ones have been prepared by the reaction of aliphatic, aromatic, and particularly heterocyclic acid hydrazides with phosgene (I). Very little attention, however, has been given to the use of phenylacetic acid hydrazide and related arylalkyl acid hydrazides in this réaction.
