Abstract: Photolysis of diphenyldiazomethane in six matrices (toluene, methylcyclohexane, benzene, diethyl ether, 2-propanol, and cyclohexene) and their deuterated modifications at low temperature gave rise to the metastable triplet ESR spectrum of diphenylcarbene.
