Abstract
Results The kinetics of the reaction of 1, 3-butadiene with molecular bromine were followed in a stopped-flow apparatus at 410 nm near the absorption maximum of bromine in the presence of a high excess of the diene under conditions in which the 1, 2-and lP-dibromides free from tetrabromides were f~ rmed.~.~ For the sake of correlation with our previous work,'1, Zdichloroethane was chosen at first as the solvent.
