Abstract

A selective ruthenium-catalyzed water–gas shift/hydroformylation of internal olefins and olefin mixtures is reported. This novel domino reaction takes place through a catalytic water– gas shift reaction, subsequent olefin isomerization, followed by hydroformylation and reductive amination.
