Abstract
Preparation of B-isoprenyldialkylboranes is achieved by adopting the Brandsma modification of the Schlosser procedure, namely metallation of isoprene with potassium 2, 2, 5, 5-tetramethylpiperidide followed by sequential treatment with B-methoxydialkylborane and boron trifluoride-etherate.
