Abstract
Haloarenes ArHal (Hal= Br, Cl) react with arylboronic acids in supercritical carbon dioxide in the presence of a system comprising Pd (OCOCF3) 2/Buchwald phosphine ligand/potassium carbonate (phosphate)/18-crown-6 to yield the corresponding cross- coupling products in high yields; all chlorine atoms in di-and tetrachloroarenes are replaced by aryl groups under the proposed conditions.
