Abstract
A set of dipeptides containing the amino acid residues P-chloroalanine and propargylglycine, which are mechanism-based inactivators of purified microbial enzymes (alanine racemase and cystathionine y-synthase, respectively), have been synthesized, and their antibacterial properties in vitro have been evaluated.
