Abstract

Results Table I summarizes the results of the thermal decomposition of 22 dialkyl oxalates at atmospheric pressure. Olefin analysis was done by gas chromatography, nmr, and hydrogenation to saturated hydrocarbons. The n. ni. r. analysis was facilitated by t'he differences in the chemical shifts of olefinic protons: terminal olefins
