Abstract

Glycosylphosphatidylinositols (GPIs) are a class of natural glycosylphospholipids that anchor proteins and glycoproteins (through their Cterminus) as well as phosphoglycans (through the reducing end of the chain) to the membrane of eukaryotic cells.
