Abstract

Abstract: Octaalkylethers 2a-g (alkyl: n-CH 3, nC 2 H 5, nC 3 H 7, nC 4 H 9, nC 5 H 11, nC 6 H 13, nC 8 H 17) of p-tert-butylcalix [8] arene were prepared by the etheration with NaH as base. The structures of the new compouds were determined by IR, 1 H NMR, elemental analysis and MS spectra. and the study for their application is under way.
