Abstract

Abstract Novel and facile transformation of N, N-disubstituted glycylamides into corresponding cyanamides using pentavalent iodine reagents and tetraethylammonium bromide is discussed. The advantages of this system are use of non toxic reagents, shorter reaction times and moderate to good yields.
