Abstract

N-(9'-xanthenyl) carbama tes, N-(9-xanthenyl)-amides, ls tetrahydroquinolines, l 7~ l8 diphenylsulfides,'and p-toluidine derivative^.^^^^^ The dialkylaminoalkylamino derivatives reported prior to the initiation of the work described herein contained a secondary aromatic amine, a structure characteristic of the 4 and &aminoquinoline antimalarials.
