Abstract
Highly effective formation of cyclopentanol through the liquid-phase hydration of cyclopentene has been attempted on various zeolites catalysts. MCM-22 zeolite was the most selective catalyst, which actively converted cyclopentene to cyclopentanol with a selectivity up to 99%.
