Abstract
Several simple olefins or olefin pairs wcre subjected to a reaction in the presence and the absence of organosodiuiri compounds, in order to demonstrate the role and importance of the relative stability of the ionic and radical species in determining the structure of the ultimate product. The carbon skeleton of the resulting dimeric hydrocarbons indicated that the order of alkylcarbanion stabilities, I> I1> 111, accounts for the structure of the products ...
