Abstract

Abstract A novel double helical dicopper (II) complex was synthesized by reaction of a polydentate ligand L= 2, 2′-bipyridyl-6, 6′-bis (2-acetylpyrazinohydrazone) with copper (II) perchlorate in CH 3 CN. The self-assembling process was studied by UV-Vis spectrometric titration experiments which revealed the formation of dinuclear complexes [Cu 2 L 2](ClO 4) 4.
