Abstract
Summary Although characterizations of LB films in aqueous solutions are difficult to study because of the limitations of measurement methods, the quartz-crystal microbalance (QCM) can detect directly that LB films do not peel from the substrate in the water phase and that the swelling and the slipping behaviors between interlayers occur in the fluid liquid crystalline state above T, of LB films.
